Notebook History
This notebook contains no notes, but rather pictures of trains and drawings by Koert. His father's toy company, ERSI, traded in toys of that era. He imported toys from Germany. Märklin trains were certainly part of that. There were brochures with images of trains.
The notebook dates from 1939-1940; Koert was about 6 years old at the time. He did what many boys his age did: cut out pictures of beautiful trains and locomotives and pasted them into a notebook. A wish list for Sinterklaas?
One of the catalogs used is the D16 Catalog from 1939/40.
